Answering a question
I’m concerned about my location showing on a map when I vote.
The results map is a great way to see how people from around the world feel about current issues, and being able to determine how members in a certain geography are voting. We take the privacy of our members very seriously. The map is only capable of zooming to the city level, and address information is not displayed anywhere. If you are still uncomfortable with this level of detail, we recommend using a neighboring city as your location. You can do this by changing your location information in the “Personal Information” tab on your profile page.
When I vote my pin doesn’t show, or doesn’t show in the correct location.
Go into your profile page in your “Personal Information” tab. Make sure that your country state, city and postal code fields are filled out correctly. If your pin is still not showing in the correct location, we recommend that you enter your address into the available fields. Your address will not be viewable by other members, and the results map only shows detail at the city level.

Jabber Now
What is Jabber Now?
Jabber Now is JabberMonkey’s internal text and video chat capability. You must become friends with a user on JabberMonkey before you are able to text and video chat with them. Clicking on your friends profile pic under the “Jabber Now” menu will initiate a text chat with that member.
What do I need to be able to video chat?
All you need is a webcam, microphone, and speakers. If you are using a computer with a built in webcam, you are set. If you are using a external webcam we recommend that you configure your webcam using the software it came with.
How do I start a video chat?
Select the friend that you want to chat with from the “Jabber Now” drop down list. This will open the text chat window. From here, click the video chat button to open the video chat window. You will then be asked to allow JabberMonkey to access your webcam. Click “allow” to turn on your webcam. (To avoid having to click “allow” in the future right click on the webcam screen, select “properties” and click on the “always allow” checkbox.) At this time, your friend will be presented with a button on their screen allowing them to initiate (or decline) a chat session with you. When you are done with your video chat, click the end call button to terminate session.
How can I eliminate audio feedback during a video chat session?
Audio feedback is commonly caused by your microphone picking up sound from your speakers. To reduce feedback, turn down the volume on your speakers. If this fails to fix the problem we suggest wearing headphones. Headphones will give you the best possible voice quality. Also, the software that came with your webcam will often have a tuning option that will help eliminate feedback.
